M.A.I.D.C. LTD is an important Corporation of the Govt. of Maharashtra, a progressive and leading state in India. It gives me a great pleasure to state that this Company, incorporated under the Indian Companies Act 1956, has been doing excellent work in the field of manufacturing, processing, marketing and trading of Agricultural products. It gives me a great pleasure to say that the Corporation is efficiently managed by its workforce, which has always reflected in ever growing Business turnover and assured returns to the Govt. of Maharashtra, by way of dividends right from its year of inception i.e. December 1965. Though commercial in venture the Corporation has also considered the Social aspects while manufacturing and marketing of its inputs and services to the farmers. As such profits alone may not form the sole objective while considering factors of social benefit, market balancing, consistent quality assurance, etc.

The Company is also acting as a facilitator in promoting various programmes of the Govt both State and Centre. Its appointment as Nodal Agency for promotion of Agro processing by the Ministry of Food Processing Govt. of India and its thrust on creating job opportunities by promoting self-employment schemes in rural areas, speak about its versatility and assurance of delivering programes recognized by the Govt.

Up gradation in the Production Technologies and Marketing Strategies are important for the economic success in the face of Liberalization and Globalization. The Corporation is fully committed and geared up to make suitable, necessary and important changes so as to become more Market friendly and Economy oriented. The thrust will be on up-gradation of production facilities, supplementing Product Lines, Strengthening core areas of competence particulary in the area of marketing where it holds large distribution network, well spread out, over the State of Maharashtra.

The Company will be looking out for Joint Ventures with interest to take up New Challenges envisaged in the 'KRUSHI SAPT AK' Programme which is a new and major initiative by a Govt. of Maharashtra for Action Plan and execution based on the recommendation of Dr. Swaminathan Committee. The Corporation will strive to address important issues of Mechanization of Agriculture, particularly use of important hand tools and implements by Woman in Agriculture, who form sizable workforce in Indian Agriculture.
