Field Visit

Under the chairmanship of Hon. Managing Director Shri Ashok Kakade (IAS), a meeting regarding “Fertilizer Availability and Regulation” was held on 12/05/2026 at the Corporation’s headquarters in Goregaon with the State Marketing Managers of major fertilizer manufacturing and supplying companies in Maharashtra.

Senior officials from companies such as IFFCO Ltd., KRIBHCO Ltd., IPL Ltd., PPL Ltd., Hindustan Urvarak Ltd., GSFC Ltd., GNFC Ltd., Hindalco Ltd., Mosaic Ltd., and others were present at the meeting.

The following key issues were specially discussed during the meeting:

➤ Ensuring timely availability of fertilizers.
➤ Prioritizing fertilizer supply during periods of increased demand.
➤ Strengthening coordination between MAIDC and fertilizer companies.
➤ Ensuring uninterrupted fertilizer supply to farmers during the Kharif season.
➤ Organizing joint awareness and promotion programs by MAIDC and fertilizer manufacturing/supplying companies regarding the use of organic fertilizers.
➤ Encouraging the use of alternative fertilizers to regulate and reduce excessive use of urea fertilizers.

Further, “Strategic Supplier” awards were presented in recognition of contributions towards fertilizer supply during the financial year 2025–26.

➤ First Supplier Award was presented to RCF Ltd.
➤ Second Supplier Award was jointly presented to IFFCO Ltd. and IPL Ltd.
➤ Third Supplier Award was presented to Coromandel International Ltd.

On 12 May 2026, the Managing Director of the Maharashtra Agro Industries Development Corporation, Ashok Kakade, interacted directly with farmers from Borgaon, Umbarde, and Uranoli villages in Pen taluka of Raigad district.

During the interaction, the Managing Director gathered feedback from farmers regarding the availability and quality of agro-industry products such as mixed fertilizers, pesticides, animal feed, and agricultural equipment. He also understood the expectations that farmers have from the corporation.

The farmers present on the occasion were deeply appreciative and expressed their gratitude towards the Managing Director.

Also present during the visit were Deputy General Manager Mr. Devanand Duthade, Divisional Manager Mr. Nitin Jadhav, District Manager Sunil Shelvale, and Mr. Manohar Mali, Director of Gargi Krishi Seva Kendra.

On 12 May 2026, the Hon’ble Managing Director of the Maharashtra Agro Industries Development Corporation, Ashok Kakade, conducted a physical inspection of the urea fertilizer stock stored in Pen taluka of Raigad district under the Protected Fertilizer Stock – Kharif 2026 initiative.

During the visit, he also examined the fertilizer stock register and gathered information from distributors regarding the current demand and supply situation of fertilizers.

On this occasion, Deputy General Manager Mr. Devanand Duthade, Divisional Manager Mr. Nitin Jadhav, District Manager Sunil Shelvale,

as well as Mr. Manohar Mali and Mr. Prashant Mali, Directors of Gargi Krishi Seva Kendra, were also present.
