Maharashtra Agro Industries Development Corp Ltd (MAIDC) is planning to develop a customized fertilizer plant in Puntamba, Tal Rahta in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra. The company has invited bids in December 2014 to build the plant on RDBFOT (Research, Design, Build, Finance, Operate, Transfer) Basis. The proposed capacity of the plant will be 45000 mtpa and will come up in 10 acres of land with an investment of Rs. 300 million.

For supply of Quality Fertilizers to farmers in Maharashtra, MAIDC started his 1st plant In Rasayani at Raigad district, where production of NPK KU 18*18*10 started in the year 1971. Plant capacity at that time was 45000 Mts. Per year. Now a days it is increases to 75000 MTS per year by adopting of modern technology.
